Izanagi Jingu is a Shinto shrine of Awaji Province Ichinomiya on Awaji Island.
The main deities are Izanagi no Mikoto and Izanami no Mikoto. Izanagi is a god who appears in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, and is considered to be the god of creation. Izanami no Mikoto is the wife god of Izanagi no Mikoto, and is considered to be the god of creation of the country.

Izanagi Shrine is described in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, and is said to be the oldest shrine in Japan. Also, as the Ichinomiya of Awaji Province, it has been worshiped as a guardian deity of Awaji Island since ancient times.
