Located on Honmachi Street in Kurashiki's Bikan Historical Quarter, this used bookstore is a 100-year-old house. With around 6,000 books ranging from literature to natural science, it is a hideaway spot for the owner, who loves moss and books.
Mushi Bunko is a small second-hand bookstore that was founded in 1994 and moved to its current location in 2000. The store, which was renovated from a townhouse that is over 100 years old, is lined with about 6,000 books in a variety of genres, including pure literature, natural science, and manga, and just visiting the store makes you feel like you're traveling back in time.

The owner is the author Tanaka Miho. Tanaka has written many books on the theme of nature, such as moss, insects, and stars.
