This shrine enshrines the god of "michihiraki" (opening the way), who guides things in a positive direction. Located next to Ise Grand Shrine, it is a power spot to visit when you feel lost on your path in life. It is a popular shrine for people starting new things.
Sarutahiko Shrine, located in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, is located close to the Inner Shrine of Ise Grand Shrine. In Japanese mythology, it's said that Sarutahiko Okami guided Ninigi-no-Mikoto, the god of good fortune, to Takachiho, under the command of Amaterasu Omikami, during his descent from heaven.

The shrine enshrines Sarutahiko Okami, known as the god of "opening the way," or "pathway," as its main deity. Since ancient times, it's been believed to be beneficial to visit when starting something new or at a crossroads in life, and is devoutly revered by those embarking on a new journey in various fields, including business, academics, and sports.

The shrine grounds also include Sarume Shrine, dedicated to Amenouzume-no-Mikoto, Sarutahiko Okami's wife. Amenouzume-no-Mikoto is known as the goddess of performing arts, and is deeply revered by actors, singers, dancers, and other performers, as well as those aspiring to pursue a career in the arts. In stark contrast to the vast forest of Ise Grand Shrine, the shrine grounds have a tranquil atmosphere and are filled with refreshing air.

Sarutahiko Shrine is the perfect spot to drop by after visiting Ise Grand Shrine. It is recommended for those who wish to receive the blessings of the god of "michihiraki" (opening the path), who will set them on their right path in life, and vow to make a fresh start.

However, the main shrine of Sarutahiko-no-Okami is Tsubaki Grand Shrine in Suzuka City.
