Rakanji is a temple located in Iwami Ginzan.
The 500 Arhats in a Grotto consists of three caves on a rock slope, with a stone-made Shakyamuni Buddha in the central cave and 250 statues of the 500 Arhats in each of the left and right caves, for a total of 501 seated statues. Masu.

Iwami's Rakanji Temple is a valuable religious site that represents the stonework culture of the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine. It is also one of the components of the World Heritage Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine.
