Located on the Asakuchi City side of Kurashiki, this coastline has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Beaches. It is a long white sand beach on the calm waters of the Seto Inland Sea. There are beach huts and BBQ areas, so families can enjoy playing in the sea and watching the spectacular sunset at the same time.
The ocean water is not polluted, but it's not exactly clean. The water is slightly cleaner at Shibukawa Beach, but the sand is fine and white.

The swimming season is from July to the end of August. There are generally no changing rooms or public showers other than those at the beach huts (showers are available for a fee at the beach huts).

Many people enjoy fishing along the breakwater.

[Useful Points to Note]
During the Sami Beach swimming season, barbecues are available in designated areas (plot usage fee: 500 yen). Open fires on the beach are prohibited, and you must take any trash home with you.
The parking lot will be locked from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning from June 13th to September 12th.
