The Emperor Nintoku's Mausoleum, also known as the Daisenryo Kofun or Daisen Kofun, is the largest kofun in Japan and is located in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture.
With a total length of approximately 486 meters and a triple moat, this is Japan's largest keyhole-shaped tumulus. While the interior is closed to the public, the scale of the forest and moat can be appreciated from the approximately 2.8-kilometer circular path. The worship site is located on the Daisen Park side, allowing visitors to experience a solemn atmosphere.

The approximately 2.8-kilometer circular path surrounds the tumulus, and a stroll takes approximately one hour.

While it's difficult to see the entire structure unless you're from above, you can get a partial view from the observation lobby on the 21st floor of the Sakai City Hall High-Rise Building (free).

The Mozu Kofun Group Visitor Center, adjacent to the south side of the tumulus, features an 8K aerial theater, allowing visitors to learn about the tumulus cluster, which cannot be seen from the ground.

For convenient parking, use the Daisen Park Parking Lot No. 3 (paid).

[Useful Information]
The Mozu Kofun Group Visitor Center is approximately 2 km from the observation lobby on the 21st floor of the Sakai City Hall High-Rise Building, a 30-minute walk. There is Sakai-Higashi Station, one stop from Mikunigaoka Station on the Nankai Koya Line of the Nankai Electric Railway, but either way you will have to walk a fair bit. A car is better, but walking around the perimeter of the tumulus might also be a good option.
