This is a Yokai Museum that opened in April 2019. You can experience the world of "mononoke" (monsters) from ukiyo-e prints to the latest performances.
Miyoshi is said to be the setting for the Inomononokeroku (Inumononoke Roku). Centered around the collection of yokai researcher Goichi Yumoto, the museum showcases "mononoke culture" through a variety of materials, including picture scrolls, utensils, and early modern documents.

While the exhibition primarily focuses on yokai materials from the Edo and Meiji periods,
teamLab's digital content allows children to color in original yokai designs projected onto a screen, creating animated scenes. This is a fun experience for kindergarteners and elementary school students.

The same premises also feature a tourist information center and a restaurant. The shop offers a wide selection of yokai merchandise and local souvenirs.

[Useful Concerns]
The on-site restaurant, "Mononoke Dining," will close in January 2024. The museum is currently utilizing the gift shop and nearby cafes.
