Naoshima's public bath, "I♥Yu," is a "bathing art facility" designed by artist Shinro Ohtake, from the exterior to the bathtub, mosaics, and ceramic toilets. Surrounded by an elephant on the roof, a neon "yu" sign, colorful tiles, and collages, it's a one-of-a-kind space where the island's everyday life blends with contemporary art. The facility is operated by the NPO Naoshima Town Tourism Association, and serves as a place for interaction between tourists and islanders.

While the bathing experience is the norm, on certain days "bathroom tours" are held (bathing is not permitted during tour hours). Photography inside the building is only permitted during designated times and events, excluding bathing hours, so it's a good idea to check the opening hours and announcements before visiting.
