A sky terrace with a 360-degree view of the Mikata Five Lakes and Wakasa Bay. A foot bath, round sofas, a lovers' sanctuary, and a rose garden make this a spectacular photo spot for driving around Fukui. A great choice for family trips and couples' trips.
Rainbow Line Summit Park is a "park floating in the sky" atop Mt. Baijyo. From the summit, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the Mikata Five Lakes and Wakasa Bay, and on clear days, the panoramic view stretches all the way to the horizon.

The park's five terraces, each with its own unique atmosphere, are the highlights. Choose from the five terraces, each with its own unique charm, to suit your style of stay: the Five Lakes Terrace, where you can lounge on circular sofas; the two-story Wakasa Terrace; the covered and comfortable Central Terrace; the Japanese-style Teahouse Terrace; and the Mihama Terrace. Rental rainbow-colored parasols are also popular for their photogenic appeal. Other attractions include the Cool Japan Award-winning "Heavenly Footbath," Wago Shrine and the Bell of Happiness, a rose garden that blooms in spring and autumn, and a scattered cafe and shop, making it a pleasant place to visit regardless of the weather.

Access to the summit is via lift or cable car from the first parking lot; access to the park on foot alone is not available. Access is via the prefectural road, Mikatagoko Rainbow Line, and from the free road gate to the first parking lot (pedestrians and bicycles are not allowed). The park is hilly, so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. The best times to visit are on a clear evening when the lake surface is dyed golden, and in winter when the air is clear and the view is clear. You can enjoy the spectacular scenery that changes with each season.
