Ueharaya Honten's defining feature is its chewy udon noodles.
The udon noodles are made from 100% wheat flour using a unique method that involves folding them multiple times to give them a chewy texture.
The broth is also carefully simmered using dried sardines and kelp, resulting in a rich flavor.

The restaurant is self-service. Pick up a tray and receive your noodles, add your choice of tempura or oden, and pour the broth over yourself to complete your meal. There are approximately 48 seats, and the spacious layout is well-received as it is wheelchair-friendly.
