Located on the outskirts of Tottori City, Inshu Nakaigama is a pottery manufacturer of stylish Japanese tableware, with striking green, black, and white glaze colors. There is also a gallery where you can enjoy viewing the pottery and buying it directly from the potter.
The kiln was founded in 1945 by the first generation potter, Toshiro Sakamoto. Under the guidance of Shoya Yoshida, the second generation, Chikao, furthered new folk art. The third generation, Akira, introduced pottery under the direction of Sori Yanagi. In recent years, the fourth generation, Muneyuki, has also participated in the production process.

The gallery is located across from the kiln, where you can browse and select practical pieces, such as representative three-color dyed plates and celadon porcelain.

While the gallery and shop are not widely open, and inventory fluctuates depending on the season, a visit by appointment is recommended. Experience the atmosphere of the artisans' workspace and the climbing kiln, while also experiencing the craftsmanship of tableware for everyday use. The pieces are characterized by their well-balanced dyeing, using natural glazes. The gallery offers a wide selection, from classic gift items to bowls, bowls, and cups for everyday use. The colors of the pottery stand out against the tranquil surroundings of the surrounding countryside.

Nearby is the traditional Japanese cafe, "Ebako GOHAN."

There is also an Ushinoto ware kiln nearby.
