This free dinosaur museum is located at Okayama University of Science. It's packed with exhibits of real fossils, skeletal specimens, and the excavation and research process, making it a great place for families to learn.
The highlight of this museum is touring the exhibits scattered throughout the campus. The main exhibition room showcases excavations and research results from the Gobi Desert in Mongolia, while also allowing visitors to get up close and personal with specimens like Tarbosaurus and Protoceratops.
Unlike other museums, the laboratory, specimen room, and fossil processing room are open to the public, allowing visitors to observe students and researchers at work—a unique feature of a university museum. The average tour takes about an hour.

While there aren't many exhibits, you can view dinosaur fossils, including replicas, making this a recommended spot for children who love dinosaurs.
Since the exhibits are scattered throughout the campus, first-time visitors should check out the brochure near the entrance.

The title photo shows a satellite exhibit displayed at the entrance on the first floor of Building A1. Building A can be reached by crossing the red bridge on the seventh floor of Building C2.
