Located just a two-minute walk from Fushimi Station, this hands-on science museum is free to enter. It's a Nagoya tourist spot perfect for families, perfect for rainy days, where you can learn about electricity and energy while having fun at the Ohm Theater and in experimental shows.
The Electricity Science Museum, operated by Chubu Electric Power, is packed with interactive exhibits across four floors: "Discover Electricity" and "Science Plaza" on the second floor, "Electricity Journey" and "Environment and Energy" on the third floor, and "Wonderland" on the fourth floor. It also features a giant plasma ball and photogenic spots, making it the perfect "rainy day museum" for families or couples.

The highlight is the 350-inch interactive theater, the "Ohm Theater." Guests can take part in quizzes and games with a character that incorporates their own face. Advance reservations are required for smooth enjoyment (book online by 5 PM the day before, or pick up a seat in the museum if available). On weekends, the museum also hosts "Fun Crafts," experiment shows, and the E Academia Theater, featuring short films, bringing science closer to home!

Learn the basics of electricity and energy in a fun way, and gain a deeper understanding of how electricity works through experiments and hands-on experiences.

Admission is free, making it a recommended facility for families with elementary school-aged children who are interested in science. Don't be fooled by the fact that it's free, there's a lot to see.
The Nagoya City Science Museum is also nearby, so it's also recommended for elementary school students.
