Daishoin is a Zen (Rinzai sect) temple and the family temple of the Mori clan, which was built during the Edo period.
There is a beautiful and charming scenery of over 600 lanterns lined up at Daishoin, a Zen temple (Rinzai sect) and the family temple of the Mouri clan built during the Edo period.

Although the main hall is currently undergoing preservation and repair work until October 2017 (scheduled), the repair process can be observed through small windows. The bell tower gate, the sutra repository, and several Buddhist statues have been designated as important cultural properties.
