永明寺 (Yomeiji) is a Soto Zen Buddhist temple founded in 1402 located near the historic streetscape of Tsuwano in Japan.
The unique thatched roof of the main hall adds to its charm, especially during the autumn foliage season.

Visitors can also pay to see the garden and the tomb of Mori Ogai, a famous Meiji era novelist.

Although the parking lot is said to be free for up to 10 cars, there are no clear signs indicating where it is located. It is recommended to visit along with a stroll through the traditional streets of Tsuwano.
