Taga Taisha is a prestigious shrine located in Taga, Taga Town, Inukami District, Shiga Prefecture.
It has been known as "Otaga-san" since ancient times, and was worshiped as "Taga Daimyojin" during the Middle Ages when Shinto and Buddhism were syncretized.
Because it enshrines Izanagi and Izanami, the parents of Amaterasu Omikami, it is popular as a shrine for life extension and matchmaking.

Taga Taisha is worshiped as the god of longevity, marriage, and protection from evil, and there are 239 branch shrines nationwide.
