Tsubosaka-ji Temple is located in Tsubosaka, Takatori-cho, Takaichi-gun, Nara Prefecture. It was founded in 703 AD, and is said to have miraculous powers for eye diseases.
Kosaka-ji Temple is said to have been founded in the 3rd year of Taiho (703) by Benki Shonin, a monk of Gango-ji Temple. It is said that when Benki Shonin was training in this area, he placed his favorite crystal jar in the hermitage on the hill, and engraved the image of Kannon that he was impressed with. Masu.

Tsubosaka-ji Temple is a famous temple visited by many people as the 6th Fudasho of the Saigoku Sanjusansho Kannon Pilgrimage. In addition, it is known as Kannon who has a miraculous effect on eye diseases, and its name spread throughout the country through the puppet joruri "Tsubosaka Reigenki".
