Kifune Shrine is a shrine dedicated to the god of water located in Kurama Kifune-cho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. It consists of three shrines: the main shrine, the inner shrine, and the Yuisha.
The vermilion lanterns along the approach to the main shrine are an impressive sight.
It is also a famous spot for autumn leaves.

Kifune Shrine is a god of water, but it is also worshiped as a god of marriage.
Due to the influence of manga and novels, it is popular among young couples.

However, the problem is that there are only a few to 10 parking lots in about 3 places. There is also one in Okumiya. Parking can be difficult during busy times.
If you use public transportation, there is a bus from Kibuneguchi Station. It takes about 30 minutes on foot for 2km.

There is also the famous “Kurama Temple” nearby.
