Muro Ryuketsu Shrine is an ancient shrine located in Muro, Uda City, Nara Prefecture, dedicated to the dragon god, the god of water. In recent years, the shrine has been drawing attention as a power spot due to its solemn atmosphere and the mysterious dragon hole located deep within.
Muro Ryuketsu Shrine is a mystical experience that allows you to experience the deep history and the belief in the dragon god. It is said to have a history older than Muroji Temple, and has long been revered by the Imperial Court as a god of rainmaking.
The atmosphere of the shrine grounds is very solemn, and the main hall, although simple, has a sacred air. In addition, Myokissho Ryuketsu, located in the mountains about 1 km upstream from the main hall along the Muro River, is a cave where it is said that the dragon god lives, and the place itself is considered a powerful power spot.
Surrounded by rich nature, you can experience the ancient form of faith and purify your mind and body.
The grounds are lined with many large cedar trees, creating a very sacred atmosphere.
