Roadside Station Ipponmatsu Observatory is located in Shiriumi, Oku-cho, Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture, and is a roadside station on a hill along the Okayama Blue Line (National Route 2 Bypass). As its name suggests, its biggest attraction is the observation deck, which offers a magnificent view of the Seto Inland Sea. On a clear day, you can see a 360-degree panoramic view of the various islands, large and small, floating in the Seto Inland Sea, and even as far as Shikoku. Especially at dusk, you can enjoy the romantic view of the sky and sea dyed crimson, making it a popular photo spot.

Inside the facility, there is a direct sales store that sells local specialties such as fresh vegetables, fruits, dried fish, and processed products from Setouchi City and Okayama Prefecture. There is a wide selection of items that are perfect for souvenirs, such as Okayama's specialty kibi dango. At the restaurant "Blue Line Ipponmatsu," you can enjoy seafood dishes that make use of the seafood of the Seto Inland Sea, as well as set meals using local ingredients.

The roadside station grounds also feature play equipment for small children, a large grassy area, and a mini railway park, making it a popular spot for families.
