The exhibits at the museum are replicas, and the actual artifacts are housed at the Shimane Prefectural Ancient Izumo History Museum located next to the Izumo Taisha Shrine.

The excavation site is a good place to imagine the era of ancient Izumo.

In the park, there are pit dwellings, barbecues, and simple athletic facilities for families with children to enjoy. There are also ancient rice paddies, and depending on the season, you can experience rice planting or harvesting.
