This natural spring springs out in the mountains of Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture, and is loved by local residents. The smooth, delicious water is perfect for taking a break or collecting water during a drive.
Water quality tests have shown that the water has a hardness of 200mg/L, making it classified as hard water. Hard water is water that contains a lot of minerals such as calcium and magnesium, and is said to be good for the body when drunk.

It has a mellow taste and even a sweet taste. This water has permeated the nearby karst plateau over many years, and is said to contain a good balance of minerals.

Visitors fill their own plastic bottles or plastic containers with water to take home for daily use and to make coffee or tea. It is especially popular for its mellow, deep flavor when used to make coffee.

If you are going to "Niimi Chiya Onsen Ibuki no Sato" or "Tatara no Mori Auto Campsite," it is a short side road off National Route 180, so if you are going from Niimi to National Route 180, it is worth stopping by.
