Yaetaki is a scenic spot located in Iruma, Kakeya-cho, Unnan City, Shimane Prefecture, deep in the mountains adjacent to Okuizumo. Eight waterfalls, large and small (Sarutobi Falls, Takijiri Falls, Momiji Falls, Kajika Falls, Ubagaki Falls, Hime Falls, Yashio Falls, and Yashio Falls) are lined up in a valley of about 1.5 km, and you can easily enjoy a nature walk by walking on the promenade maintained as the "Chugoku Nature Trail Yaetaki Course". The promenade is generally well-maintained and easy to walk on, but there are some ups and downs, so we recommend visiting with comfortable shoes. You can enjoy forest bathing while listening to the murmuring of the clear stream flowing along the valley.

Yaetaki is surrounded by vibrant greenery in the season of fresh green leaves, the cool spray of the water is pleasant on hot summer days, and the fiery autumn leaves color the valley in autumn. The beautiful scenery in every season is also a popular spot for photography enthusiasts. The area around the waterfall is full of negative ions, making it perfect for refreshing your mind and body.

Yaetaki has eight waterfalls, and it takes about 30 minutes on foot along the stream to reach the main Yashio and Yashio waterfalls.

Ryuzu-ga-taki and Yaetaki are located within Ryuzu-Yae-taki Prefectural Natural Park, but Yaetaki is about a 20-minute drive from Ryuzu-ga-taki.
Furthermore, about 10 minutes on the way to Ryuzu-ga-taki is Shiogahira Onsen (Mamenaka Center), where golden hot spring water flows directly from the source, and is recommended as a day trip hot spring.

About 10 minutes by car further into the mountains from the Yaetaki parking lot is Yaeyama Shrine, located on a cliff.
