Located on the border between Hiroshima and Shimane prefectures, Mt. Osorakan is the highest mountain in Hiroshima prefecture, boasting an elevation of 1,346.4 meters. It is also known as the leader of the Chugoku mountain range and is popular as a natural spot with various ways to enjoy it throughout the four seasons. In summer, it is cool and perfect for mountain climbing and trekking. In winter, it is crowded with many skiers and snowboarders as the Osorakan Snow Park, one of the largest ski resorts in western Japan.

The hiking trails leading to the summit are well maintained, and beginners to advanced skiers can choose a course according to their physical ability. In particular, the virgin beech forest, where untouched nature remains, is breathtakingly beautiful in the season of fresh greenery and autumn leaves. It is also recommended to enjoy forest bathing while listening to the chirping of birds. Along the way, you can feel the breath of nature as you pass moss-covered rocks and clear streams.

The trailhead is located just before the Osorakan Ecology Campsite, where there is a parking lot for mountain climbers.

At the foot of the mountain, there is a campsite called Osorakan Ushigoya Kogen Ecology Campsite and a ski resort called Osorakan Snow Park.
