Shimane Winery produces wine using 100% grapes grown in Shimane Prefecture. In the viewing gallery inside the building, you can see the process from grape selection to fermentation, aging, and bottling through glass, and the factory tour is free. After the tour, you can sample 7 to 8 types of Shimane wine for free and find your favorite wine.

The souvenir corner (Bacchus) has a wide selection of limited edition wines, Western-style sweets made with wine, local specialties, and wine goods. It is attractive to stop by on the way back from sightseeing at Izumo Taisha Shrine and purchase products that can only be found here.

There is a restaurant called "Chateau Misen" on the premises, which serves dishes made with Shimane Wagyu beef and dishes that make use of local ingredients and go well with wine. At lunchtime, a wide range of menus are available, from simple set meals to course meals, and the restaurant is open until 6:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays, so you can enjoy the pairing with wine at your leisure.
