Taka Roadside Station, Sugihara Paper Village, located along National Route 427 in Taka Town, Hyogo Prefecture, is a relaxing tourist spot where you can experience the traditional culture of Sugihara paper while savoring local specialties and gourmet food.
The surrounding area is the Sugihara district, which has long been a thriving producer of washi paper.
You can actually make washi paper with your own hands, which will be a special memory of your trip. The papermaking experience can be enjoyed by both children and adults, and allows you to experience traditional Japanese culture up close.

At the Kami Kochi product center, you can find a wide variety of fresh local vegetables, fruits, and specialty products grown in Takamachi's pure water and rich nature. The local brand rice, Kiyoshima rice, and fertilized eggs are particularly popular.

At the Sharuman restaurant, the menu using the specialty Banshu Hyakunichidori chicken is very popular.

On the premises, there is a river play area and showers that use the clear waters of the Sugihara River, and in the summer, it is a popular spot for children to enjoy fishing.

Across the road next door is the solemn Aotama Shrine.

There are also tourist spots in the area, such as the Sugihara Paper Village Taka Campground and the Sugihara Paper Village Taka Reservoir.
