Ama-no-Manai has long been used by local people for their daily lives, for agricultural purposes, and for farming rainbow trout. In addition, the water from Amano Manai is used as a water source for waterworks in many municipalities in Tottori Prefecture.
Ama-no-Manai is also popular as a tourist spot, with a watermill, pavilion, and promenade.
