Kashima Shrine is a popular historic shrine in Takasago city, where it is said that every prayer made by each person is guaranteed to be granted.
According to the shrine's legend, Kashima Shrine was founded as a guardian shrine for Kokubunji Temple in Harima Province during the Nara period. It is a venerable shrine with a history of over 1,300 years.

The two main deities enshrined here are Takemikazuchi-no-mikoto and Futsunushi-no-mikoto, who are known as the gods of martial arts, protection from misfortune, and victory. Since ancient times, there has been a strong belief that wishes will come true, and the shrine is known for granting various wishes, such as recovery from incurable diseases, fulfillment of wishes, business prosperity, and academic success. Many worshippers come from all over the country in search of this blessing.

The shrine is famous as a god of "one wish fulfillment," where wishes are granted if one prays with one wish in mind.

The shrine grounds are located at the foot of the Harima Alps, and from the observation deck reached by climbing up the stone steps, one can enjoy a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea spreading out below. Nearby hiking trails are easily accessible, so a visit to the shrine combined with a hike is recommended.
The trailhead for Mt. Takagoi is located on the premises.

In addition, there are shops selling the shrine's famous Kashiwamochi mochi on both sides of the approach to the shrine.

It is about a 500m walk from the parking lot.

[Trivia]
The main shrine is Kashima Jingu Shrine in Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
