At Shosenkyo, you can see granite cliffs, strange rocks and stones that have been carved out over a long period of time, and clear, abundant water. On the 5km-long promenade along the valley, you can enjoy the beauty of the valley, which changes with the seasons, up close. Photogenic sights such as Kakuenbo and Sekimon are dotted along the promenade, and it is a course that beginners and advanced hikers can easily enjoy. In autumn, it is a famous spot for autumn leaves.

Sengataki Falls is a famous waterfall with a drop of 30m, located at the very back of the promenade, about 500m from Sekimon. The sound of the trickling water and the white threads running down the rock surface are attractive, and the scenery changes with the seasons, with fresh greenery in spring, cool breezes in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and freezing in winter.

The walking route takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes one way, and we also recommend visiting the Crystal Museum and Shadow Art Forest Museum along the way. There are also restaurants dotted around where you can try Yamanashi wine and local cuisine, making this a highly satisfying spot for families and mountain climbing enthusiasts alike.

The basic parking lot is the "Shosenkyo Green Line Prefectural Free Parking Lot." During autumn foliage season, it tends to fill up quickly.
"Sengataki Parking Lot" is about a 3-minute walk from Sengataki Falls and is the closest of the three free parking lots within Shosenkyo, but with only about 20 spaces, it often fills up during the season. (However, you should generally use parking lots reserved for shops, so be mindful of shopping at the shops.)
