Yonago Daibakufu is a waterfall located in Yonago, Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture, and has been selected as one of Japan's 100 best waterfalls. It is a hidden scenic spot at the foot of Mt. Azuma, where two waterfalls line up from the rising caldera cliff.
Yonago Daibaku consists of two pillar-shaped waterfalls - Fudotaki (85m drop) and Gongentaki (80m drop) - that flow down from the volcanic caldera cliffs of Mt. Nekodake and Mt. Azuma. You can enjoy the majestic scenery that has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Best Waterfalls and a nationally designated place of scenic beauty.

The promenade is about 2km long and takes about 2 hours round trip, and you can enjoy the beauty of the valley in every season while crossing the clear valley stream. In autumn, the fiery autumn leaves and the white threads of the waterfalls shine, making it a popular hiking course for photography enthusiasts.

It has long been known as a training ground for Fudo faith, and Yonago Fudoson Okunoin, built between the waterfalls, is a sacred place associated with Uesugi Kenshin. The remains of a sulfur mine and a village temple remain in the surrounding area, so you can enjoy a nature walk while feeling the romance of history.

The mountain is open from mid-May to mid-November. It is closed in winter.

The best time to see the autumn leaves is usually around mid-October.
Parking is charged during the autumn leaves season. Shuttle buses operate on weekends and other days, restricting the use of private cars.
