The Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology is a museum of the Toyota Group that was built using the remains of a brick factory that was once the site of the Toyota Weaving Machinery factory.
The Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology is located in Noritake-Shinmachi, Nishi-ku, Nagoya, and is a memorial museum located in the birthplace of the Toyota Group, where the headquarters factory of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works was once located. Here, you can learn about the evolution of the textile machinery technology that is the origin of the Toyota Group and the automobile technology that symbolizes Toyota today through actual machines, vehicles, and interactive exhibits. In particular, the dynamic exhibits are rich, and you can see the machines actually working up close, so children and adults alike can feel the technical skills and passion that have been cultivated by Japanese manufacturing.

At the Textile Machinery Pavilion, you can see a demonstration of the automatic loom invented by Sakichi Toyoda, and you will be amazed by its innovative technology. In the Automobile Pavilion, there is a zone that explains the automobile manufacturing process in an easy-to-understand manner, as well as exhibits of Toyota's past vehicles, and you can learn how cars are made. The demonstrations of welding robots and press machines are very impressive.

The museum is spacious, and there is also a cafe and museum shop. It is an all-weather facility that can be enjoyed even on rainy days, and is popular with many tourists, including children, as a place of learning and inspiration to think about the history and future of Japanese industrial technology.

Even though it is in the center of Nagoya city, parking is "free". Perhaps that is to be expected from a car company.

It is a 3-minute walk from Sakae Station on the Nagoya Main Line. It is about a 20-minute walk from Nagoya Station.
