Kusatsu Onsen is one of the hot spring towns that represent the Kanto region and is one of Japan's top three hot springs.
Kusatsu Onsen boasts the largest natural hot spring water output in Japan, with over 32,300 liters of hot spring water gushing out every minute. The spring water is acidic, has a strong bactericidal effect, and is said to be effective against rough skin and neuralgia.

The biggest feature of Kusatsu Onsen is its steam. More than 4,000 liters of hot spring water gushes out from the area called the Yubatake every minute, and steam is always rising. The steam is the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen, and it attracts many tourists.

In addition to the Yubatake, Kusatsu Onsen has many other attractions, such as Yumomi and the open-air baths at the Yubatake.
