The Shikisai-no-Oka Flower Garden is a farm with colorful flower fields located in Biei, Kamikawa-gun, Hokkaido. It is a spectacular garden with colorful flowers blooming like a patchwork.
Shikisai-no-Oka is a flower field with an area of 15 hectares where about 30 kinds of flowers bloom from late April to late October. In September, colorful flowers such as dahlias, salvias, and cockscombs are in full bloom all at once, making it one of Hokkaido's leading tourist spots.
The park is so large that in addition to walking around, you can also use the Norokko (tractor bus), buggies, and carts to get around efficiently. If you take the Norokko, you can slowly move through the flower fields while feeling the breeze and enjoy taking photos. There are also shops and restaurants in the park where you can enjoy light meals such as soft serve ice cream made with Biei milk and croquettes made with freshly picked potatoes, so you can enjoy both flowers and gourmet food.
Shikisai-no-Oka is one of the most photogenic spots that represents the beautiful scenery of Biei's hills, and is a popular spot for couples on dates as well as photography enthusiasts.
