Fukuoka Castle is located in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City, and was built by Kuroda Nagamasa, the feudal lord of Fukuoka, during the Edo period. It once boasted a vast site, but now the castle tower no longer exists, and only its stone walls, moat, and several turrets remain.
