This 234m tall landmark tower is located in the seaside Momochi district of Fukuoka City. The observation deck offers a spectacular view of Fukuoka city and Hakata Bay, and the night view is also exceptional.
Located in Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Tower is a landmark that boasts a height of 234 meters and is the tallest seaside tower in Japan. It was built as a monument for the 1989 Asia-Pacific Expo (Yokatopia). The distinctive exterior, covered with 8,000 half-mirrors, is decorated with various designs of illumination at night, adding a touch of glamour to the night view of Fukuoka. Especially during events such as Christmas and Valentine's Day, you can enjoy special seasonal illuminations that create a romantic atmosphere.

From the observation deck 123 meters above ground, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Fukuoka city, Hakata Bay, Fukuoka Dome (now Fukuoka PayPay Dome), Nokonoshima, and Shika Island. During the day, you can see the lively city and the beautiful sea at the same time, and on a clear day, you can even see as far as Saga and Nagasaki prefectures. At night, the sparkling night view of Fukuoka spreads out below you, and its beauty is so great that it has been selected as one of the "100 Best Night Views." The observation deck has a variety of ways to enjoy the area, including a place known as the Lover's Sanctuary and an area where you can enjoy projection mapping.
The observation deck also has a variety of facilities where you can play, such as the Lover's Sanctuary and the Sky Gacha. It is also home to the "Love Key Legend," making it a lovers' sanctuary.
The area around Fukuoka Tower is located in the Seaside Momochi district, where tourist facilities such as the Fukuoka City Museum, Fukuoka PayPay Dome, and Marizon are concentrated. Not only can you enjoy the spectacular view from the tower, but you can also enjoy the surrounding facilities all day long, making it an essential spot for sightseeing in Fukuoka.
