This waterfall in Bungo-Ono City has been selected as one of Japan's 100 best waterfalls. It is an impressive waterfall with a drop of 20m and a width of 120m.
Harajiri Falls is a waterfall that flows down from a cliff of welded tuff formed by the great eruption of Mount Aso, and is characterized by its sudden appearance in a tranquil rural area. The area around the waterfall is rich in nature and has a walking course.

A promenade is maintained to the basin of the waterfall, and you can also cross the suspension bridge "Harajiri Falls Suspension Bridge" to the opposite bank. From the suspension bridge, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the waterfall, the river flowing below, and the vast rural landscape, and enjoy a view full of openness. You can also see strange rocks and potholes around the waterfall, and feel the beauty of nature's sculptures.

Near the waterfall, there is a watermill and "Roadside Station Harajiri Falls," which is convenient for looking for local specialties and souvenirs and having a snack. During the spring Tulip Festival (late March to early April), you can enjoy the collaboration of the waterfall and tulips.
