Kannon Falls is located in the valley of Takikawa, a tributary of the Tamashima River. Next to the waterfall, Ikime Kannon is enshrined, and it is said that washing your eyes with the water from the waterfall pool will cure eye diseases.

Kannon Falls is a waterfall that is attractive for its powerful appearance and rich nature. There are eight waterfalls and pools in a row around the waterfall, including the Kigakure Pool and the Silent Pool, and it is also popular as a hiking trail.

There is a well-maintained promenade around the waterfall pool, so you can get relatively close and experience the flow. During the hot summer months, many families can be seen enjoying playing in the water at the waterfall pool. The cold water spray rises up and cools like a natural air conditioner, making it a popular summer resort. In addition, there is a watermill shed and a water play area that uses the waterfall flow right next to the waterfall, and it has been designed to allow children to play safely.

Due to the heavy rain disaster in July 2023, most sections of the promenade are closed to the public. You can see the whole waterfall from Kannon Ohashi Bridge, but the promenade leading to the base of the falls is closed.
