Hamarikyu Gardens was originally a stroll-style rockery-style spring garden built during the Edo period, and was opened as a metropolitan garden in 1946.
Hama-Rikyu Gardens is a metropolitan garden located in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, built in the Edo period as a villa for the Tokugawa Shogunate. It features valuable facilities that retain the atmosphere of the time, such as the "Tide Pond," which was once used as a falconry ground and whose scenery changes with the tides, and the "Duck Hunt" where the Shogun enjoyed duck hunting. Although it is located right next to Shiodome, where skyscrapers stand side by side, it is surrounded by spacious spaces and lush greenery, and offers a quiet and beautiful landscape that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city.

The greatest attraction of this garden is its historical value and the beauty of nature in every season. Inside the garden, there is the "Nakajima no Ochaya," built in the Edo period, where you can enjoy the view of the pond while drinking matcha. In addition, the "300-Year Pine Tree," which is said to have been planted about 300 years ago, overwhelms visitors with its majestic appearance. With different expressions in each season, such as cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and snow hangings in winter, you can enjoy various beauties throughout the year.

[Useful points of concern]
Because the gardens are so large, it will take time to explore them all, and you will have to walk quite a bit. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes. In the summer, the sun is strong and it will be hot, so you will need to take measures against the heat, such as bringing a hat and drinks.
