This is Kyoto's landmark tower, located just north of Kyoto Station. It is a 131-meter-tall tower. From the observation deck 100 meters above ground, you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the ancient city of Kyoto and the mountains.
Kyoto Tower is a symbol of Kyoto, located in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, and stands in front of the Karasuma Central Exit of Kyoto Station. Its 131-meter-tall appearance is said to have been designed with the image of a lighthouse standing in landlocked Kyoto. Opened in 1964, it is the tallest structure in Kyoto City, and from the observation deck you can enjoy a magnificent 360-degree panoramic view of the ancient city of Kyoto's grid-like cityscape, the surrounding mountains such as Higashiyama and Nishiyama, and even Osaka in the distance.

The greatest attraction of Kyoto Tower is the view from its observation deck. The view from dusk to night is particularly special, with the lights of modern Kyoto twinkling behind the roof tiles of the historic temples and shrines, creating a fantastic contrast. The night view, which shows a different look from the daytime, creates a romantic atmosphere and is a popular spot for couples. There is also a telescope installed, so you can observe the city of Kyoto in detail.

Kyoto Tower is not only an observation deck, but also has a variety of facilities within the tower building. In the basement, there is a large public bath, "Kyoto Tower Large Public Bath ~YUU~", where you can relax and unwind after a long day of travel. In addition, the observation deck floor and the commercial facilities in the basement are stocked with souvenirs unique to Kyoto and restaurants, so you can enjoy shopping and gourmet food.

The large public bath, "Kyoto Tower Large Public Bath ~YUU~", is open from early in the morning, so it is also popular with people using express buses to relax and unwind.
