Located in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, this is an ancient shrine in Ichinomiya, Musashi Province, with a history of about 2,400 years. Its vast grounds and solemn atmosphere make it a popular power spot.
Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine, located in Omiya Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, is one of the oldest shrines in the Kanto region, and is said to have been founded in 473 BC and has a history of over 2,400 years. As the name "Oinaru Miyai" (Great Palace), from which the place name Omiya is derived, suggests, the vast grounds are surrounded by lush greenery and have a solemn atmosphere that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. As the Ichinomiya (Ichinomiya) of Musashi Province, it has long been worshiped as the general guardian of the Kanto region, and many worshippers visit every year.

The greatest attraction of this shrine is its deep history and the beautiful scenery in every season. The approach to the shrine, which continues for about 2 kilometers from the second torii gate, is lined with zelkova trees, allowing you to stroll while feeling the refreshing air. The grounds are lined with beautiful vermilion-painted buildings such as the main hall, dance hall, and tower gate, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of traditional Japanese architecture. In particular, the cherry blossoms in spring and the autumn leaves in autumn are beautiful, creating a scene in which nature and history are in harmony.

Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine's most popular benefit is said to be matchmaking, especially marriage and family luck. This is because the deities enshrined at the shrine, Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Inadahime-no-Mikoto, are husband and wife gods, and Okuninushi-no-Mikoto is known as the god of matchmaking. It is also said to bring safety for the home, prosperity in business, protection from misfortune, and road safety.

The approach to the shrine is about 2km in a straight line from Omiya Station, and it is about a 20-minute walk. It is about a 10-minute walk from Omiya Koen Station or Kita-Omiya Station on the Tobu Noda Line.

[Hidden gem]
The approach to the shrine and the area around the main hall are crowded, but Munakata Shrine and Monkaku Shrine on the north side of the shrine grounds are relatively quiet and are hidden gems where you can worship in peace.
In addition, Omiya Park in the northern area also has a zoo and a small zoo, so it is recommended for families with children.
