This is a day-trip hot spring facility with an open-air bath where you can bathe while looking at the night view of the Kofu Basin and Mt. Fuji. It is a popular hot spring where you can enjoy the sunrise and night view.
Hottarakashi Onsen is a hot spring facility located in Yamanashi City, Yamanashi Prefecture, known for its spectacular open-air baths overlooking the Kofu Basin and Mt. Fuji. As the unique name "Hottarakashi" suggests, the facility's appeal is its simple design that makes use of nature as it is, and the open-air baths offer different views depending on the time of day. In particular, it is famous for being open one hour before sunrise, so you can enjoy the spectacular sunrise view while soaking in the bath, and it is a popular hot spring resort that attracts many tourists from early in the morning.

The greatest attraction of this hot spring is its majestic view and the two different baths, "Acchi no Yu" and "Kocchi no Yu." "Acchi no Yu" is an open bath with a wide view of Mt. Fuji and the Kofu Basin, and is especially special at sunrise. On the other hand, "Kocchi no Yu" has a more rustic atmosphere, with the night view of the Kofu Basin spreading out below you, and you can spend a relaxing time gazing at the stars in the night sky. Both baths are direct from the source and are alkaline simple hot springs that are expected to have skin-beautifying effects.

There are two alkaline hot springs, with temperatures of 32 degrees and 42 degrees.

The "Hottarakashi Campsite" is located nearby, which also has a great view.

[Hidden gem]

In addition, the restaurant "Kimagureya" located within the hot spring facility is popular for its dishes made with local ingredients, such as "Fried soft-boiled egg," "Rice with raw egg on top," and "Legendary curry," making it the perfect place to take a break after the hot springs.
