A historical shrine located in Kamiyoshida, Fujiyoshida City. It is located at the starting point of the north exit of Mt.Fuji, and has attracted many worshipers as the general guardian of Mt.Fuji.
It is also a part of the World Cultural Heritage Site as "Mt. Fuji - Object of Faith and Source of Art."

Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine has 11 buildings designated as important cultural properties of the country, including the main shrine, worship hall, Zuishinmon gate, and portable shrine storage.
