Located in Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture, Mount Zao Observatory is a 360-degree panoramic observation deck at the summit of Mount Zao, located almost in the center of the Atsumi Peninsula. From the observation deck, located 250 meters above sea level, you can see the Tahara cityscape spreading out below, the sparkling Mikawa Bay, and the Atsumi Peninsula in its entirety. On a clear day, you can see the Southern Alps, Mount Fuji, and Ise-Shima in the distance, and the magnificent scenery is truly breathtaking.

In particular, at dusk, the sky and sea are dyed in a fantastical gradation, creating a romantic atmosphere. It is also known as a "night view spot" with a beautiful view of the Tahara cityscape and the lights of the ships floating on Mikawa Bay. The observation deck is surrounded by promenades and lawn areas where you can relax.
