This temple was founded in 1029 and is located in the mountains of Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto City.
The precincts are located halfway up a mountain at an altitude of approximately 300 meters, allowing you to enjoy nature throughout the four seasons. There are also many attractions such as the Yuryu no Matsu (Yuryu no Matsu), a natural monument, and the Aomomi Garden, a walking garden.

The multiple tower is designated as an important cultural property.

In autumn, it is also a famous spot for autumn leaves.
