Okitsu Beach in Shimanto Town, Kochi Prefecture, is a long beach stretching approximately 600 meters, known for its calm waves, deep, shallow waters, and fine sand. In 2025, the beach will be open from late October to mid-October, with lifeguards on duty from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Rental parasols and swim rings are available, making it a popular beach for families, even those new to the water.

The shallow, sandy beach and gentle waves make it safe for even small children to play.

A 200-meter stretch from the embankment on the left side of the beach is a "swimming area." Strict rules govern surfing and other marine sports, ensuring safe and secure swimming. Showers and restrooms are also available, and hot showers are available for 100 yen each.
