Shizugatake can be easily reached by lift. From the summit, you can enjoy the magnificent views of Lake Biwa and Lake Yogo, and feel the history of the ancient battlefield. The aerial walk and panorama view are appealing.
Shizugatake is a historic mountain where the Battle of Shizugatake took place during the Sengoku period. If you take the lift from Sanroku Station, you can easily reach the summit while enjoying a 6-minute aerial stroll.

After getting off the lift and walking a little, you will arrive at the summit. From here, you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama overlooking Lake Biwa, Chikubushima Island, and the beautiful Lake Yogo. You can enjoy the natural beauty of the northern part of the lake that changes with the seasons.

The area around the summit is also designated as a national historic site, so you can take a stroll while feeling the history of the ancient battlefield. This is a recommended spot for history fans as well as those who want to enjoy a spectacular view casually.

Adults (junior high school students and above): 500 yen one way, 900 yen round trip
Elementary school students: 300 yen one way, 500 yen round trip
