The 360-degree glass-walled ropeway takes you from the base of the mountain to the summit station at Mt. Uchimi (1,108m) in about five minutes. The Main area, which spreads out in front of the station, is the central area of Biwako Terrace. The iconic Grand Terrace features a three-tiered wooden deck and a water basin, creating a "mirror-like" view where the sky and lake surface blend together depending on the angle. Passing through the corridor to the north side, the North Terrace appears, offering a spectacular view that extends all the way to the beautiful ridgeline of the northern lake.

Relax on the sofas and chairs on the terrace, or take a break with snacks and drinks at the Terrace Café. For a more special experience, head to the private "Infinity Lounge" with paid sofa seating (first-come, first-served). The panoramic view across the water basin that juts out into the lake is a photogenic sight.
