Famous for its "Lion Hall," where a giant lion opens its mouth, this shrine is a popular power spot and photo spot within walking distance of Namba Station.
Namba Yasaka Shrine has long been worshipped as the guardian deity of the Namba area. It's also said to bestow blessings such as business prosperity, matchmaking, marital harmony, and agricultural productivity.

The lion hall towering over the shrine grounds, measuring 12 meters high, 7 meters wide, and 7 meters deep, is the symbol of Namba Yasaka Shrine and was completed in 1974 along with the main shrine. Its eyes function as lights and its nose as a speaker, and it is used for New Year's and summer festival performances. The unique composition of the main shrine peeking through its impressive "mouth" is a constant source of worshippers and photographers praying for good fortune and protection from evil.

Its striking appearance makes it popular with foreign tourists.
