Imamiya Ebisu Shrine, located in the Shinsekai area of ​​Naniwa Ward, is an ancient shrine said to have been founded during the Asuka period as the western guardian of Shitennoji Temple. The enshrined deities are Amaterasu Omikami, Kotoshironushi no Kami (Ebisu), and three other deities, and the shrine is known for granting blessings of prosperous business and prosperity.

The highlight of the worship ritual is the "Ura-mairi (Reinforced Omiiri)." This is a unique custom in which, after praying at the main shrine, you strike a drum at the worship hall on the north side to "reinforce" your wish.

The famous "Toka Ebisu Festival" is held every year from January 9th to 11th. Lucky girls hand out lucky bamboo leaves while shouting "Bring bamboo for prosperous business!" During this period, the shrine is known nationwide as a major event attracting approximately one million visitors. Lined with food stalls, the shrine is bathed in lanterns and lights after sunset, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
