A long-established Japanese confectionery shop founded in the Kohoku region of Shiga Prefecture. Their popular products include Meidai Kusamochi and Fuku Mitarashi. They are particular about the ingredients they use, and while maintaining tradition, they also offer new Japanese sweets.
Kasho Rokubei is a Japanese confectionery shop founded in 1926 in Kinomoto Town, Shiga Prefecture. Currently, the shop has several locations, mainly in Nagahama City, and is popular with locals and tourists alike.

Using carefully selected ingredients, such as Shiga habutae mochi rice cakes and adzuki beans from Tokachi, Hokkaido, artisans carefully craft each and every Japanese confection. While maintaining traditional manufacturing methods, the shop also focuses on developing new products that incorporate modern sensibilities.

Particularly popular items include the "Nadai Kusamochi," made with homegrown mugwort, and the "Fuku Mitarashi," featuring a cute smiling face branding. Some stores are easily accessible from tourist destinations, such as the store near Kurokabe Square.
